Teams Gets Smarter: New Features to Streamline Your Chats

If there’s one thing that can test your patience during a busy workday, it’s a messaging app that doesn’t behave the way you expect. For millions of people, Microsoft Teams is a critical tool for keeping businesses connected and conversations flowing - but even loyal users have had a few frustrations.

Microsoft has been listening. Based on real user feedback, some long-awaited improvements are finally rolling out.

Enter Key Flexibility

One of the simplest but most useful changes is the ability to choose what the Enter key does. Previously, hitting Enter would send your message immediately - often before it was finished. Soon, you’ll be able to use Enter to create a new line instead, reducing accidental sends and making typing in Teams feel more natural.

Forward Multiple Messages

Another highly requested update is the ability to forward multiple messages at once. Until now, Teams only allowed forwarding one message at a time, which made sharing context clunky. With this update, you can select up to five messages from a chat or channel and forward them together in one go, saving time and keeping conversations clear.

Why It Matters

For businesses that rely on Teams every day, these may sound like small changes, but they remove friction from hundreds of tiny moments. When messaging is at the core of how your team communicates, small improvements like these can make a noticeable difference to productivity and overall experience.
